ProQuest Local Administrator (LAD) lets you create multiple profiles to access the features of the LAD interface. There are two types of profiles:
For most accounts, there is a single primary administrator profile for the LAD account, used by the system administrator. This profile has access to all the features within the LAD interface, including the ability to create assistant profiles.
For consortiums, there are multiple primary administrator profiles. The consortium administrator primary profile will have access to all child institution accounts. Child institution administrator profiles will have access only to their institution's settings. Contact Customer Service/Technical Support if you want to disable this.
The Primary Administrator account has the ability to create and manage Assistant Administrator profiles, which have limited access to the LAD interface. The Primary Administrator selects which areas the profile needs to access (such as usage reports).
For example, you may create an account for a student intern at your library which lets them print usage reports but doesn't give them access to any of the other features.
