You can retrieve ProQuest usage reports that provide account-specific details such as usage summaries by account, site/user, search type, time or database. This information lets you see usage patterns, popular searching mechanisms and databases. You can use this information to make sure that your ProQuest account meets the needs of your users—providing the right databases, supplying users with the correct access, and that the default settings are configured properly.
Here is an explanation of how ProQUest calculates the values displayed on usage reports:
The document count is incremented at the start of document delivery from the ProQuest electronic vault.
If a file is requested multiple times within a specific time frame (10 seconds for html, and 30 seconds for pdf files), the duplicate requests are not counted.
